We started with 1 small house, then 2, now over 25. Basically, we played Monopoly in real life.
While we may enjoy growing vegetables more than staring at the property market… U.S property investment is what allowed us to retire early in our 30s by generating passive income.
You might know us as ‘that couple who quit their safe corporate jobs & lived in a van’ (yes that’s our own campervan)!

Our journey started where most people do. It is where most dreams die: the “comfort zone” of the office.
From 2010 – 2022, we were living the 9-to-6 life. Stable jobs, decent pay…
But a steadily decreasing amount of soul.
We’d fantasize about a different kind of life. A life of freedom, waking up any time you want, traveling, and spending time with family.
But we realized something:
Throwing our hands up and quitting in a blaze of glory, i.e. the whole “YOLO” thing, would just land us back in another cubicle later when our savings run out.
Plus that’s a horrible financial plan…
So instead… We started building a backdoor out. An escape plan.
One related to boring looking cookie-cutter houses.
Our goal was simple: Collect enough cashflowing rental properties to build a passive income stream that would replace our salaries.
It wouldn’t get us rich overnight. But it was a feasible path, brick-by-brick.
Within 5 years, we built a portfolio of over 25 rentals…
Since then, we’ve been traveling – a lot.
Not just for ourselves, but also for our elderly parents. We bring them on month-long trips for new experiences that they never had, while they can still travel.
We also bought a 10 year ol’ van, converted it into a campervan, and toured all over the US in it. Having our very own campervan had been our dream.
